Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum
CD/DVD order?
Unlike our competitors, we do not have a minimum order. Whether
you require 1 CD or DVD or 100.000, just order as little or as
many as you desire!
How long will my order take?
Replication turnaround is usually 7 - 11 days, Duplication
turnaround can be as little as 3 - 5 days.
Can you duplicate any disc?
Yes we can duplicate virtually any format of CD & DVD provided
to us. Note: We do not duplicate copyrighted material unless the
customer has obtained all copyrights and permission.
What is the difference between
duplication and replication?
Duplication is the process through which you "burn" the original
content file from the master to an industrial recordable CD or
DVD. It is a much faster method of production than replication and
generally utilized for lower disc amounts or when time is of the
essence. It's important to know that there is no real quality
difference between duplicated or replicated discs. Both are
quality controlled and bit for bit verified as being identical to
the original master. The choice between duplication and
replication is more a function of quantity and/or turn time rather
than quality.
Replication is the process of "stamping" your data into an
injection moulded CD. These discs are like the audio discs you buy
at music shops and have a silver look to them. The silver look is
because of the aluminium that is used to reflect the laser that is
used when you play your CD. Replication is normally used for
higher quantities where it's important to get the per disc price
near or below £1.00 each. Often the replication process requires
that you order a minimum of CDs to cover the setup costs. These
minimums are usually between 1,000 and 2,500 discs. The process is
less expensive than Duplication because your data is actually
built into the construction of the CD and not added later. That's
an important fact because you can not add to, delete or change any
of the information once its pressed into the CDs.
I would like my home audio recordings (which are on DAT / Mini Disc) to be transferred to a compact disc and need these to be edited and compiled to my specific requirements before they are transferred, Can you do this for me?
Yes. We have in house audio editing and mastering facilities which enables us to arrange your tracks exactly how you like them, including cropping / fading and track re-arrangement. Once you're happy with the layout, we will make a master disc then duplicate your CDs. Call us to discuss your requirements.
I have some home
'Mini DV' camcorder footage that I would like transferred on to DVD, Can you do this?
Yes we can. We will take your old analogue or digital format and then professionally convert this to DVD-VIDEO in order to play in your home DVD player. We can add still or motion menus with active buttons, chapter points, music soundtracks, picture slideshows etc. The possibilities are endless and the results are on par with Hollywood DVDS.
We can also place VHS footage on to DVD. Check out our DVD Authoring section.
Do you use DVD recorders
for DVD authoring?
No, DVD recorders are not suitable for professional DVD
authoring. We only use state of the art authoring equipment that
is used to produce many Hollywood DVDs.
